Beauty of Mistakes

The Ted Talk made me realize that art can be created with or without intention. Burnstein mentioned, there are always things we can control and things we cannot in the process of creating. True progress comes from, not only improving your own ability, but also how you respond to things beyond your ability. Most of the time, its the accidents and mishaps that are beyond us, but its always been a choice whether we work with it or not. The most memorable example was the old pot that Burnstein presented It was easy to tell that it was old from the huge crack it had. Instead of concealing it, the crack was painted with a gold color, making it the best feature of the item. It made me realize that I need to be patient with what I create and embrace everything that happens during the process.
