Struggling to make an instrument

My assignment was to create an instrument using melodies and tones. However, I find myself, once again, confusing myself with the codes. What I manage to realize is that coding the microbit is all about repetition and forming a pattern. If I can just figure out the patterns, I'm certain I won't have these problems
